This design is not only unconventional
but also 'dug out' the delight in my appetite!

(Goreng Pisang aka deep-fried battered bananas or banana fritters)

1. Stack the Banana Fritters to form a Cake Tower.

2. Slather Dark Chocolate Cream atop each banana fritter.

3. Sprinkle M&M Chocolates all over the Dark Chocolate Cream to add colors.

4. Place fresh Strawberries randomly but TASTEFULLY.

5. Insert Decorative Pieces to give it a Final Birthday Touch!

There you go; not your usual birthday cake which you can purchase off the counter.

Try and make it yourself!

Chocolate Crinkles

"Chocolate Cookies Dredged with Icing Sugar"

I have been searching high & low for these devilish-looking cookies and finally I found a kind-hearted Philippina to bake for me.

A firm crust filled with chewy chocolatey texture which will melt as you chew. No wonder my receiver loves it so much and I am glad to see the delighted face.

Awfully Chocolate: Classic Chic Packaging

White Chocolate Butterscotch Block @ S$7.50/100gm – A fusion of white chocolate and dark chocolate swiss roll enrobed with sweet-salty butterscotch.

In Singapore, very rarely can you find cake boxes with windows which you can peep through as you hand-carry.

Durian Dodol

If you love durian and ‘kueh-kueh’ stuff, then most probably you will enjoy savoring this local product from Tan Kim Hock, Malacca. The Durian Dodol may look gooey but the mouthfeel is firm and it doesn’t stick to your teeth. Each mouthful is teeming with the beguiling aroma and taste of fresh durians; you can also detect distinct notes of Gula Melaka integrating harmoniously into the durian dodol. “The Famous Malaysian Cake” vanishes within minutes once it is served on our dining table, no kidding! (RM5.90 per pack)

Bread : Black Art

“What’s this black thingy?” Look horrifying sooty at first sight but adorable on the second; with ears attached to their ebony bodies. Those white glaring eyes intrigue me to purchase one pair at RM2.10 and despite travelling with them a long way before I reach my hotel room, they still retain their fluffiness. The mashy red-mung-bean-paste-filling that exudes is sweet to a tee and I have a good time devouring them with my chum!
