Disaster Cafe............Spain

                           

This café as its name sounds, is created to enable diners to experience ‘turbulence’ similarly found during earthquakes.

It is a good experience for people like me who is born and raised in a natural disaster-free zone whereby I have no clue at all how it feels to react in an earthquake.  For some patrons, they likened the concept to be as thrilling as taking a roller-coaster ride!  Now for the ladies, besides shopping for Mango or Zara in Spain, you have another reason to be there.  As for the men, besides watching bullfighting in Spain, you can explore a new dining concept with your travelling companions. Eating in the Dark...

It is like an ‘upside down’ effect in which we derive a sensual delight from dining with darkness!

In order to ‘enter’ the diner into the world of darkness, he/she has to check in the belongings/valuables into a locker. Any gadget or light-emitting object such as a luminous watch is also prohibited from ‘smuggling’ into the dining area.

However, there will be a guide to escort you to your table. The only worry you have is to learn how to enjoy your food using your remaining 4 senses! Most patrons have responded that they ended up using the most primitive way to eat and that is using their bare hands! Who cares, as long there is no one who can see you or judge your etiquette anyway!

Chocolate Sculpture of a French Male Model created by renowned fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld in collaboration with Magnum Chocolate. First look at 'it' reminds me of Madame Tussauds Musuem. Maybe Madame Tussauds can open another line of figures using chocolate instead. I personally felt this creation is very good as there are so many chocolate lovers all over the world and someone can build a chocolate musuem for us to admire & salivate!

I had my last meal here at Brathaehnchen Farm aka Chicken Farm in which they serve authentic German Cuisine such as Pork Knuckle, Charcoal BBQ Chicken, Apfelsaftschorle (apple juice + carbonated mineral water) & etc...Thumbs Up for both the authentic dining experience and superb food!!! The beautiful vegetables are freshly displayed in wooden crates and quickly grabbed for sale! (I noticed that whenever vegetables/fruits are placed in wooden crates, they give customers a mentality that they are freshly harvested & delivered...) I wish our local fruiterers/supermarkets can change their array and use wooden crates instead of plastic ones to give customers an "organic feel!"
