What Other Better Way Than Advertising On Your Door!

A Sassy Retractable Door Entrance cum Exit at Bar’75 (Crowne Plaza Hotel Level 2, Changi Airport Terminal 3, Singapore) has my eyes peeled when I walked past during noontime. I casted my eyes over it to suss out the design. Oh, it’s a bar which I believe the penetralia is just as sassy as the door and I told myself “I will be back!”

As the saying goes “The eyes are the window to your soul” and for this case, ‘The door is the honeypot to your business’! Moreover, it’s cost-effective and all you need is a solid designed-door. Tip: Be as creative as Andy Warhol! (I am always both inspired & intrigued by his mind-boggling creativity. He could transform an everyday product into a perennial piece of art; take for example, a can of Campbell’s soup can inspire him to create the “32 Campbell’s Soup Cans” art piece!)

A Novel Queuing Trend in Singapore!

I was handed this contraption when I made a purchase at ASTONS EXPRESS, one of the participating dining outlets within Asia Square Food Garden, Singapore. Mistaken for a coaster, which later I realized this is a buzzer which indicates my queue number (10) and it will light up and sound when my food is ready for pick-up.

A newfangled queuing system! You don’t have to loiter around the counter; neither do they want you to clutter up. You can find a cosy table to ensconce yourself while waiting for them to prepare your grub. VoilĂ !

(For more info on this contraption, pls visit http://www.foodicon.com.sg/ContactUs.html or dial (65) 67824629. Check out their other awesome customer care products too!)

“Mensa Battle".............................School Canteen Food Art in Germany

A Germany university student kick started this ‘Mensa Battle’ and even set up a Facebook group to challenge his peers to be more innovative on their lunches in the canteen.  Here are some pics of their comestible ‘schoolwork’. Looking at them really makes my day...

A Bunny Sandwich

Having been inspired by the Easter bunny shape, I decide to create my own bunny sandwiches just by using a pair of kitchen scissors and some wholemeal bread. As for the filling, I emulate the recipe from a Japanese Express-Cooking TV Program.

Ingredients for the Sandwich Filling
Mashed Bananas (half-ripe)
Creamy Peanut Butter
Pure Honey

Compound all the ingredients and slather in between the wholemeal bread.

Tip: Toast the wholemeal bread first before cutting out the bunny shape; the bread will toughen up and make it easier to cut into the desired shape.

Final touch: Use a culinary paintbrush and some Hershey’s Chocolate syrup to adorn the bunny!

Serve & Relish!
