Sipping your cocktail ‘Out of the Glass'!




Who would have thought of such an ingenious idea? None other than the director of The Cufflink Club, Mr Joel Fraser who will be launching brilliant cocktails in light bulb vessels instead of the usual stemware when it debuts in July 2012*. VoilĂ , I am definitely looking forward to receive ‘enlightenment’ from this watering hole!

Buffet Array in Singapore


I notice a ubiquitous style of local buffeters to display their food ‘landscape’. (Just like the pictures below; which are taken not long ago during a family lunch at Rise Restaurant, Marina Bay Sands Hotel.)







There’s nothing wrong with that, but come on, I feel we can do much better than these to heighten the dining experience! Coincidentally, I saw these cupcake stands online and an idea ignited. The buffeters can explore the ‘portrait’ or ‘skyscraper’ style to create a new vibe! Space-conserving too…which means more courses can be added and another valid reason for us to choose buffet over a la carte! Am I asking for too much? I don’t think so…this is how you should ‘think out of the table’ to impress that Michelin Inspector when he comes!

Mozarttafel Bar



What has Mozart got to do with chocolate? Well, Mozart, the world-renowned classical composer was born in Austria and the chocolate bar is produced in Austria. So, when you incorporate the 2 into 1, it becomes “Mozarttafel Bar”!

I may not be a chocolate connoisseur but somehow this chocolate bar has delighted my mood with its granular textures and nuanced flavors of light praline paste, dark praline paste & marzipan encased in premium cocoa. Best paired with a cup of Joe to give you that extra oomph!

If you happen to be in Salzburg, do remember to grab a few bars!
