Gourmet Tea Packaging…….Singapore

“Drinking a cuppa is no longer just a cup of hot water and teabag, but with discernment”

I am quite impressed with the individual packaging cum labeling (Tea Character, Tea Pairing Suggestions et al).

Perhaps tea purveyors should take a leaf out of Gryphon’s book!

If you are a Macadamia Nut Lover…

Here’s some good tidings:

I stumbled across a good assortment of flavored-Macadamia Nuts fortuitously at Pat’s Oven. Noted for its unique acquired taste, which either you love till death or discard the idea of even looking at it. The bite-size similar to a candlenut’s is just impeccable; not too small like the chickpea or as big as the Brazil nut. The flavoring-robe melts tenderly in your mouth unveiling a delicate crunchiness and beguiling natural-sweetness which ensues incessant popping. My dad who is a finicky nut eater conceded and raised his right thumb. "No hint of rancid trace", he mused.  And both of our beloved flavor is the “Honey”!

These words may interest you, especially if you are a Food Junkie…

Fairy Cakes may sound cherubic but they are just Cup Cakes!

Beefcake is absolutely inedible and actually refers to the brawny men whom you will always spot on a man’s briefs billboard!

Busboy or Busgirl – You will not find him / her working in a bus terminal but rather a dining establishment; clearing and cleaning your table. Just remember to say “Thank You”!

Sweetbread – This word has nothing to do with the sweetness of bread. It simply refers to the pancreas or thymus gland of a calf or lamb which is used for food.

Watering Hole is not a gardening term but a place (bar/saloon) where you can purchase your Bloody Mary. No bubble tea, please!

"QQ Soya Bean"…….Singapore

SGD 2.00 Per Tub

QQ Almond-flavored frozen soya bean curd is a cut above the rest with its satiny-smooth vibe bursting in fragrant nutty notes of almonds. Its consistent texture glides slickly down your palate and is guaranteed eupeptic; befitting all ages and races. There is absolutely no hint of syrup in this mellow bean curd and it truly lives up to the Asian Version of ‘Crème Brulée’!  If you wish to add a little punch, I would recommend you to garnish atop with canned longans or sea coconut strips for some gusto to your dessert time!
